I'm a proud Malaysian and it's been a journey trying to find a hot sauce here to match ours back home. Scrolling Instagram and came across the ad that said Amma's Sambal and was very intrigued. Promptly bought 2 and had it the same night it arrived and almost cried. So flavorful and instantly took me back home. WILL BE PURCHASING MORE!

Amma’s Malaysian Sambal is a dedication to my amma (mom) Siva and it highlights her love of bringing people together through food. This has been an evolving recipe of hers that I’ve grown up with and absolutely love. Sambal is a traditional chili sauce used across South East Asia and can commonly be found in Malaysia and Indonesia. When in Malaysia, no meal is complete without it, whether it be fried noodles (mee goreng), rice (nasi goreng), kari puffs, chicken satay, you name it! It’s a flavour bomb that is versatile as it is spicy starting off with strong lemongrass and ginger notes followed by umami goodness and finishes with a lasting but pleasant kick of spice thanks to the thai chili peppers used. Add it while cooking as a flavour boost or base or add it as a condiment. Or both. Do both.

Gave this to my friends, and they said the sambal was amazing. They finished it within a week and put it on EVERYTHING. They said it was so flavourful and the perfect amount of spice, she said she even put it on a cheese board, it literally went with everything
