Hi Lisha! We're thrilled you enjoyed the complex flavors of Bodhi. Thanks for sharing your experience!
I tried the Bodhi sauce and wow this one surprised me, It starts sweet, turns tangy, and that perfect little spicy kick at the end without being overpowering. We tried it with omelette first and instantly got hooked! It also tastes amazing with fish fillets, burgers, paneer, and honestly anything that needs extra flavour. I love that it tastes unique and homemade instead of just hot. Even better knowing it’s a Canadian, Toronto-based brand made with all natural ingredients.

I was gifted the Bodhi hot sauce and had the opportunity to try it out. At first I was super nervous as it's got a 4/5 heat rating, and though I like spicy foods, I'm not a pro. The sauce has a watery consistency which was surprising to me and made it too easy to over pour into a sauce plate or even into a marinade so be careful. By itself, it had a lovely sweetness and flavour to it, but it really packed on some heat. When I dipped it into foods, it paired wonderfully and the heat was a lot easier to handle. I really really enjoyed it and have been using it in all kinds of foods lately!

I really loved this product! I truly believe it can elevate any flavor to the next level. The spiciness it gives is just perfect. I personally tried it on egg toast, and it was absolutely delicious.
That said, I can definitely see myself using it on wings, burgers, or as a marinade as well. I really, really loved it. The heat is perfect, and the flavor is amazing. I would highly recommend it to everyone!

The flavor profile on this Bodhi sauce by Lost In The Sauce x SpicyWTR is incredible. It’s got a great balance of smoky South Asian sweetness that works on almost anything.
While the brand labels this as a 7.5/10, I’d personally give the heat a 3/10. It’s much more about the deep, savory glow than an intense burn, making it perfect if you prioritize taste over pure spice.

I tried something new by pairing Lost In The Sauce Bodhi with a traditional Trinidadian Pelau and it turned out to be the epitome of fusion cooking. The sauce’s base of maple syrup enhanced the caramelized sugar used in the Pelau and the ghost pepper heat lifted the entire dish. I like that the sauce just doesn’t only add heat though. The underlying flavour was so good. A South Asian twist that was made in Canada, added to a Caribbean classic, gives you that feeling of real soul food.

I tried these hot sauces in a chicken burger I made and wow — it was next level! I marinated my chicken in the sauce before cooking, and it added the perfect kick of flavor without being too spicy. The sauce really enhanced the juiciness of the chicken and gave the burger a bold, savory taste.I stacked it on a bun with my favorite toppings, and every bite had that delicious balance of heat and flavor. It’s definitely not just a “spicy” sauce — you can actually taste all the herbs and spices they use.Plus, I love that it’s a Canadian, small-batch, all-natural brand. I’ll definitely be experimenting with it on more meals! You can grab it at lostinthesauce.ca, Well.ca, Amazon.ca, and select retailers across Canada.

I tried the Bodhi sauce in a beef wrap and I honestly loved it. The flavor is really interesting because it starts a little sweet, then becomes tangy, and finishes with a nice chili kick at the end. It adds so much flavor without overpowering the food.
What I liked the most is that it’s very balanced, you can still taste the food, but the sauce makes everything more exciting. It worked perfectly with my wrap, and I can definitely see it being amazing with burgers, wings, or even eggs.

I tried the LITS Bodhi Hot Sauce and it quickly became one of those sauces I keep reaching for. The flavor starts off slightly sweet, then becomes tangy, and finishes with a gentle chili kick at the end. It reminds me of a South Asian style sweet chili sauce, but more elevated and layered. I first tried it drizzled over eggs and it added such a delicious balance of sweet, tangy, and mild heat. I also tested it with roasted veggies and it worked really well as a dip. The sauce is flavourful without being overly spicy, which makes it easy to add to everyday meals like burgers, paneer, wings, or even simple breakfast dishes. I also love that LITS Hot Sauce is a Canadian, Toronto-based brand that makes small-batch sauces with all-natural ingredients. It feels like a thoughtful take on bold, globally inspired flavours.

I tried the Bodhi sauce from Lost In The Sauce and it was a fun one to taste. The flavour starts off a little sweet, then the tanginess comes through, and right at the end you get that warm kick of heat. I drizzled it over a slice of pizza and it worked surprisingly well, adding a lot of flavour without overpowering the food. The spice level was noticeable but still very manageable for me, which let the sweet chili style flavour stand out. I also like that it’s a Toronto-based brand making small batch sauces with all natural ingredients. It feels like one of those sauces you can experiment with on different foods depending on what you’re craving.

I tried Bodhi from LITS Hot Sauces and honestly… this one really surprised me in the best way.
The first thing I noticed is how it starts off sweet and comforting, almost like that familiar South Asian sweet chili vibe you get with samosas — but much more refined. Then it turns nicely tangy, and just when you think it’s mild, there’s a gentle kick at the end that lingers without overpowering your food. My go to sauce for almost all types of foods.
I personally love that it has layers of flavour instead of just heat. It feels balanced and elevated, not sharp or vinegary like many hot sauces.
I tried it with eggs and it instantly became my favourite pairing — it adds so much depth without covering up the taste of the food. I can also see this being amazing on wings, paneer, burgers, and even red meats.
Overall, Bodhi is a beautifully balanced, sweet-to-tangy hot sauce with a soft heat finish — perfect if you enjoy flavour first and spice second.

I absolutely love the taste of this sauce, it's not overwhelmingly hot but it's full of flavour. I used this on several dishes...I tried them on eggs, pizza and chicken with rice. It went well with absolutely everything. I usually can only do medium heat but this was so delicious, I could finish the entire bottle myself. 10/10 recommend. I can't wait to try the other flavours.

I used the Bodhi sauce to marinate my chicken on skewers and grilled them. This flavour is sweet at first and then about 6 seconds in( I counted) I felt a sweet heat. Being Nigerian, this is the right level of HOT for me. Loved the taste and the fact that I could see the spices in the sauce. It looked real and not overly processed. Loved that.

Their Bodhi hot sauce is sweet, tangy, almost like a sweet chili sauce or tamarind sauce with a nice kick to it. I tried it on egg sandwiches where it brought a nice punch of flavour and I think it would excel in a Bloody Caesar, or incorporated into a dipping sauce for spring rolls or fried chicken. It’s versatile and hot enough to satisfy the chili lover in your life but not too hot to enjoy. Highly recommend!

I used the Bodhi hot sauce on my chicken and rice. I’m Indonesian so I usually eat meals with sambal, so I like a stronger upfront spice.
This one starts sweet and slightly tangy, then the heat comes at the end. It’s not very spicy but still flavourful and easy to enjoy.
I personally prefer their Amma’s Malaysian Sambal because it has a bolder kick, but this sauce would be great for people who want a milder heat or are new to hot sauces.
I also like that it’s a small Toronto-based Canadian brand.

A sauce designed to make you feel something.
Bodhi is more than a sauce, it's a project. We partnered with the creative minds at lifestyle and branding label SPICYWTR to bring a distinctive visual identity to life through the design and packaging. From the skull illustration to the colourway, every element is intentional.
'Bodhi', Sanskrit for awakening or enlightenment. Once you taste it, you'll get the name.

Sweet, smoky, tangy. Just enough heat.
Bodhi opens with pure maple sweetness, not corn syrup, not refined sugar, just real Canadian maple. Then roasted red peppers add smoke and body. Fresh lime brings the tang. And underneath it all, Bhut Jolokia (Ghost) and a whisper of coriander and mint deliver a layered 6.5/10 heat that builds slowly and lingers in the most pleasant way.
This is the sauce hot-sauce nerds rave about. The flavour layers reveal themselves over the course of a bite, sweetness, then smoke, then citrus, then heat. Most sauces are one note. Bodhi is a chord.

Bhut Jolokia + maple + mint. A combination nobody else makes.
The pepper world is full of 'ghost pepper' sauces, most are gimmicks using extract. Bodhi uses real Bhut Jolokia peppers, layered with roasted red peppers for smoke, pure maple syrup for sweetness, and a finishing touch of fresh coriander and mint for the South Asian-inspired complexity that gives this sauce its name.
It's the kind of ingredient list you don't see on a hot sauce, and that's the point. Bodhi exists because we wanted to prove that a hot sauce could have the layered, considered structure of a great spice blend or a chef-made finishing sauce.
Three meals, one bottle.
The Bodhi pairings our customers swear by.
Bodhi-Glazed Lamb Chops
Marinate lamb chops in 3 tbsp Bodhi + olive oil + garlic for 2 hours. Grill or pan-sear. The maple + ghost-pepper crust is unreal.
Bodhi Samosa Chutney
Mix 2 tbsp Bodhi with a spoon of yogurt + cilantro. Best samosa dip you'll ever have. Also incredible with pakoras and bhajis.
Bodhi-Topped Shakshuka
Make shakshuka the usual way, drizzle Bodhi over the top before serving. The smoky-sweet-spicy combo with the tomato base is divine.
A hot sauce built like a chef-made finishing sauce.

How hot is 6.5/10 really?
Real heat, you'll feel it. The ghost pepper builds slowly and lingers, but maple sweetness and roasted red peppers buffer the front of the bite. Most people who handle medium hot wings handle Bodhi fine.
What does 'SPICYWTR collab' mean?
Bodhi is a limited-edition partnership with lifestyle and branding label SPICYWTR. The recipe is LITS, the visual identity (skull illustration, colourway, packaging) is SPICYWTR. Limited runs, so when it's gone, it's gone for a while.
Is it really vegan with that much flavour?
Yes, 100% vegan. The depth comes from real roasted red peppers, pure maple syrup, fresh coriander and mint, and the ghost peppers themselves. No animal products, no fillers.
What pairs best with Bodhi?
Red meat especially, lamb, steak, anything you'd grill or roast. Also samosas, shakshuka, eggs, kebabs. The coriander + mint plays unbelievably well with cumin, garam masala, and other South Asian spice blends.
How long does it last?
Shelf-stable for 2 years, the best-before date is printed on every bottle. Best refrigerated after opening for peak flavour.
